bookmytherapy is a curated network of South Asian therapists who can relate to you and speak to you in the language of your choice.
Our mission is to provide culturally relevant mental health resources, therapy services and support to South Asians in Canada, with the goal of promoting mental wellness and reducing the stigma surrounding mental health within the community.
We are committed to breaking down language barriers and providing therapy services in multiple languages, so that individuals from all South Asian communities can receive the support they need.
Our purpose is to empower individuals to prioritize their mental health and live their best lives.
Have you ever felt like you needed help but didn’t know where to start? I have. As a newcomer to Canada, I struggled to adjust to a new life while juggling the weight of stress, experiencing nostalgia, longing to be with my family and friends, adapting to a new culture, seeing snow for the first time in my life for months, adjusting to the day getting short in winter, to losing my grandma during COVID and the inability to be there for her last rites, this put me in a state of freeze for months to follow.
I told myself, “It’s not serious enough to ask for help,” but deep down, I wished there was a safe, judgment-free and culturally relevant space where I could just be.
That’s why I created bookmytherapy. I realized I wasn’t alone—many others, especially women like me, faced similar barriers to mental health support. Long waitlists, limited options, and the overwhelming stigma surrounding therapy made getting help feel impossible.
I couldn’t just stand by. With bookmytherapy, our mission is simple: to make mental health support accessible, relatable, and stigma-free. We organize workshops, support groups, and initiatives designed to bring people together and create spaces where healing feels natural.
It hasn’t been easy. But knowing that even one person feels less alone because of our work makes it all worth it.
Today, bookmytherapy is more than a platform—it’s a community. A place for anyone seeking connection and well-being.
Because mental health isn’t a luxury—it’s a right. And together, we can make that a reality.

Empathy and compassion, combined with her personal journey, were the drivers for Neha to create bookmytherapy.ca, a web-based platform facilitating connections between individuals seeking culturally appropriate care with mental health professionals who provide services in their patients’ language of choice. Seeking support for her mental health, Neha discovered that language, cultural non-verbal cues, and unwritten norms were barriers to receiving care and healing. Speaking with others revealed they too were facing similar challenges. Bookmytherapy.ca strives to “provide culturally relevant mental health resources…promoting mental wellness and reducing the stigma surrounding mental health within the community”
